It spread as a rumour, but it turns out the talk is true. Overdrive, a top music magazine in Thailand, is organising "Bangkok Metal Fest 1", a phenomenal metal festival with great bands who will rock the City of Angels.
American heavy metal band Megadeth will make a comeback to Bangkok and rock the stage at the Moonstar Studio 8 on Wednesday, Aug 1 at 9pm.
Scheduled for Aug 1 at Moonstar Studio 8 on Lat Phrao Soi 80, the festival will be a party for all rockers. They will see headliners Megadeth, one of the "big four" bands on the thrash metal scene, and other great Thai bands such as The Sun, Dezember and Ebola as opening acts starting at 5pm.
The Los Angeles rock band comprises Dave Mustaine (guitar and vocals), Dave Ellefson (bass), Chris Broderick (guitar) and Shawn Drover (drums).
Before the concert, at 4pm, visitors will be able to visit tattoo shops, a big bike caravan, take part in games and buy Megadeth memorabilia.
Tickets start at 1,500 baht (plus a "buy five, get one free" promotion until July 31) from Thai Ticket Major booths (tel 02-262-3456 or visit www.thaiticketmajor.com). Contact Prart Music Group on 02-203-0423-5 ext 11 or visit www.prartmusic.com.
