The next Golf GTI will still enjoy a reasonable price when it arrives in Thailand mid-2013

Why is it dubbed a concept?

That has been the tradition of the Volkswagen Golf GTI. The concept version you see here has been previewed just as the seventh-generation Golf has been making its first public appearance in France earlier this month.

Ok, so switch out "other" with "some" then.

christianl, discussion 2, in all fairness, "other vehicles are very reasonably priced" - a locally built Honda Civic 1.8 or Toyota Altis 1.8 for more than 20k euros is reasonable?

Why did you emmit the words "(ok, for an import)" when you quoted the journalist? The golf GTI is not aimed at the average worker here in Thailand, so that is what it is. I'm not in love with the tax structur here in Thailand but other vehicles are very reasonably priced, and are comparably very expensive in Europe. How about a Nissan Navara? Yours for 2.5 million baht in Sweden, probably more in France were I guess you are from? In Thailand in full spec around 900,000 baht. Now, that's humour.

Great sense of humor: "The next Golf GTI will still enjoy a reasonable price when it arrives in Thailand mid-2013". In Europe, this car is available for about 1.2 million bahts (with the classical discount) not 2.5 like in Thailand. For 2.5 you can get in Europe two Toyota GT86 or, a Porche Boxter S or, a Jaguar XF... But the average salary in Europe is 10 times better that in Thailand. Yes, great humour...
