Taste of Brio saloon

Honda's new budget four-door focuses on road manners rather than a spacious package

Honda is set to become the second brand in Thailand to offer an ecocar in the guise of a four-door saloon. It's due to make its world debut in Thailand later this month.

The Brio saloon’s wheelbase is 63mm longer than the hatch version.

The four-door notchback will have a longer overall length and wheelbase than today's five-door hatchback by 380mm (at 3,990mm) and 63mm (at 2,407mm) respectively to ensure optimum levels of rear occupant comfort.

When the Brio got launched I said already that it's pity that a brand like Honda do this. For sure the used materials are good, but it's really a "plastic" eye-catcher and looks very cheap. The door handles are thin plastic. When opening a door you are afraid to tear it of the car. The interior also, cheap and cheap. Really pity that Honda did everything to sell also cars in this A-segment. The Brio Amaze is in this case exactly the same, so no news on the "car front".

commonman: "Saloon" in the context of describing motor vehicles is quite correct - especially using "English" english! Americans also called these vehicles "sedans". But you can certainly get your hair cut/styled in a "salon"

Do you need a license to sell liquor if you own this car? Richard, a saloon is a place to go drinking. A salon is either a style of car or a place to get your hair done.
