Motorbike festival gets into gear

Motorcycle enthusiasts are gearing up for the Bangkok Motorbike Festival 2013, held at CentralWorld from Jan 30 to Feb 3.

Organisers anticipate more than 1.2 million people will attend the five-day event, with sales forecast at over 200 million baht. The festival, now in its fourth year, will be held under the theme "Fuel of Life", and include the latest models from 14 motorcycle manufacturers and distributors, including Honda, Harley-Davidson and Triumph.

Events include an exhibition of 26 vintage BMW bikes, each more than 70 years old, a gymkhana riding competition and a contest for modified bikes.
