Saturday's report said an office in Reno, Nevada, where the corporate tax rate is zero, was one of many that the California-based technology giant uses to legally sidestep state income taxes on some of its gains.

Funny double standard Americans. "legally sidestep state income taxes" is frowned upon, sidestepping the legal system like Guantanamo Bay and torturing in other countries is perfectly OK for their government. And they have a heavenly mandate to bring "democracy" all over the world..;-)

This report starts out saying that "Apple is accused of tax evasion". This is not true. Tax evasion is a crime. Tax avoidance is a smart business practice.
