The trip was fully paid by Muang Thong football club and they also payed 400.000 euro to PSV. So it isn't true that they thought it was a waste of money. They did have problems with the hot temperatures and the 'smog' in Bangkok.

In the Dutch press there were pro's and con's surrounding this visit,as it was portrait as a waste of money and time in times of austerity in europe.
However, main opinion respected the effort these players had mad to connect to a different than usual entourage.
This gesture is widely seen as the real Dutch mentality towards fellow human being in unfortunate circumstances!!

    as BUSTER does.
