Deadline to oust Assumption chief

Teachers and alumni of Assumption College are giving its director until Saturday to step down and restore the reputation of one of the oldest and most prestigious Catholic schools in the country.

In a message posted on Facebook late Friday, they said they were waiting for an answer from Anan Preechawutthi and the St Gabriel's Foundation, which operates the school.

They accuse Mr Anan of mismanagement and lack of transparency in running the school and handling a promised salary increase for teachers.

to all: My statement does not apply only to this school, it applies to every school everywhere.. students from cambridge get what the seek from that school, they deserve to pay whatever fee the schools demand as they will learn all the knowledge they wanted to have.... the same as students from technical, their fees is worth the knowledge they will learn...

Learn something new everyday - Christian corruption - and I thought it was only for Buddhists.
I don't think the school has too much to worry about in terms of its reputation. It could easily be confused for a papermill.

D:3 ... sorry for the misunderstanding. I didn't talk about the school fees, I was talking about the under-the-table-donations just to make it possible to see the first day in school.
And, by the way, they are not refundable if your kid isn't good enough for the school.

The teachers and principal are all of the same type. You go for admission, the parents are asked to write on a slip of paper how much money they could 'donate' to get their kid to the school. Corruption top to bottom. The teachers teach in small coffee shops out of school hours and make extra pocket money. Strilke friendship with some wealthy parents, all the rut and mut you can think of goes on. Shut down the school and move it near some outskirt area. Traffic situation will improve.
