Total trading value was 36.04 billion baht, with 8.5 billion shares changed hands.
The SET50 index climbed 9.03 points, or 0.89%, to 1,028.41 in trade worth 23.3 billion baht.
The MAI index bucked the trend, dropping 1.87 points, or 0.26%, to 706.12, with total transaction value of 1.93 billion baht.
Foreign investors were the only buyers' group, with a net 1.16 billion baht. Retail investors were the largest sellers' group of 605.76 million baht), followed by brokers (355.04 million) and local institutions (203.05 million).
