Bangkok to host Sustainable Brands forum

Marketers interested in learning more about brand building to benefit business and society are expected to take part in the Sustainable Brands 2016 Bangkok (SB’16 Bangkok) conference this month.

The event, being held for the second time in Bangkok, will gather more than 40 speakers from around the world with more than 60 case studies of leading brands.

Sirikul Laokaikul, a leader of Sustainable Brands, said SB’16 Bangkok was part of a series of world-class brand and marketing events that began with a gathering of businesspeople who attached importance to brand building with social responsibility and sustainability. 

Conferences have been staged for 10 years in many countries worldwide, with several events held each year in various cities. 

This year’s conference will be held from Oct 11-13 at the Millennium Hilton Hotel in Bangkok under the theme “Activating Purpose". It will encourage brand owners and marketers to rethink their real business goals and brand building to benefit business and society as a whole.

Among the notable guest speakers in Bangkok will be HRH Princess Kezang Choden Wangchuck of the GNH Centre in Bhutan; Javier Goyeneche from ECOALF; along with representatives from Coca-Cola in the US, Heineken in the Netherlands, Goodvertising from Denmark, BuySocial from the United Kingdom, and GlobeScan. 

Participants will also hear first-hand accounts about inspiring those who have successfully built inspiring brands from Japan, including Fujitsu, Thai Takenaka International and Fuji Xerox. 

Thai speakers will include Roongrote Rangsiyopash, president and CEO of Siam Cement Plc; Tevin Vongvanich, CEO of PTT Plc; Kalin Sarasin, chairman of theTourism Authority of Thailand; and Vanus Taepaisitphongse, CEO of Betagro Group. They will share their knowledge and experience related to business and marketing strategies that can help shape sustainability and success.
