A total of 96,182 veicles were exported in June, up 1.34% on June 2012 and an increase of 11.09% on May, Surapong Paisitpatanapong, spokesman for the Automotive Industry Club, said on Friday.
Vehicle export value for the month stood at 44.67 billion baht, down 3.84% on June 2012, Mr Surapong said.
Exports over the first six months of the year (Jan-June) totalled 534,366 units, up 16.92% on the same period last year. Export value was up 10.88% to 240.81 billion baht.
Mr Surapong said car output over the next three months (July-Sep) is projected at 633,231 units, up 2.22% on the 619,450 units actual output from April to June 2013, but down 4.39% on 662,321 units actual output from July-September 2012.
