A smartphone application, designed to keep visitors to Thailand safer, is being offered for both iPhones and Android devices.

The Tourist Buddy app offers users tips for their own safety as well as useful travel information. In addition, travellers can send emergency calls with the app, which is handy, since authorities can trace the location of the caller.
