Twister near Koh Chang, Trat
Twister near Koh Chang, Trat

August 22nd, Koh Chang. Just south of the Top Resort, out on the open sea, in the Gulf of Thailand, visitors got
to see yet another natural phenomenon. A twister descended from a storm cloud above and sucked up immense
amounts of sea water from the warm waters of the Gulf. This area hardly witnesses any of these devastating
and powerful funnel clouds, maybe the global climate change is no gimmick after all. Duration was about
30 minutes and the storm made no landfall, just collapsed. People were lucky.

there's no significant danger to those on land - I'm not sure what would happen if you drove your boat at it.
