The Hornbill brand under ICC International and Hornbill Research Foundation are holding the 21st "Love Hornbill Day" event featuring a variety of interesting activities at the Hornbill Garden of Mahidol University's Faculty of Science, Rama VI, tomorrow from 10am to 6pm.

The annual event, held since 2001 to raise funds for research and conservation of hornbills in Thailand, will feature a "Love Hornbill Day" exhibition, fun games with prizes and lucky draws, art workshops and games presented by the National Science Museum, and an exhibition giving updates on the progress being made in research by the Hornbill Research Foundation.

There will be workshops on woodcuts of Thai hornbills, hornbill plaster painting and hornbill drawing on cloth bags; a mini concert by 25 Hours; and booths offering products, food and drinks from related organisations. This is also an opportunity to buy limited edition T-shirts featuring the motifs of helmeted hornbills, priced at 290 baht each.

Other highlights will be the launch of the T-shirt design contest featuring the theme "Hornbill Lover" at 3pm, followed by the "Product Show" featuring clothing by Hornbill brand, as presented by actor Chakrit Yamnam and his wife, as well as lecturers and students from Mahidol.

Visitors are invited to a seminar on "Helmeted Hornbill" by Rangsarit Kanjanavanich from Lanna Bird and Nature Conservation Club, Methinee Passara-udomsak from Traffic, a leading NGO working on wildlife trade, Watcharaboon Leesuwan from Seub Nakhasathien Foundation and Dr Vijak Chimchom from Hornbill Research Foundation.
