Bookworms of all ages will have almost 11 days to burrow their way through a famous book fair which starts tomorrow and runs until April 8.

The 41st National Book Fair & 11th Bangkok International Book Fair 2013 will be held from tomorrow to April 8 at at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre. It opens to the public from 6pm to 9pm tomorrow and from 10am to 9pm in the days thereafter. Free admission. Call 02-954-9560—4 or visit www.thailandbookfair.com.

Organised by the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand (Pubat), the 41st National Book Fair & 11th Bangkok International Book Fair will feature 950 booths from more than 400 local printing houses and dozens of publishers from Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea.

All zones of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre will be packed and stacked with fiction and non-fiction titles, foreign books, children's books, educational materials, and old and used books.

The Ballroom Zone is reserved for comic books from well-known publishing houses, and there will be many fun activities for younger readers.

The fair will feature exhibitions and activities to promote reading among Thai people under this year's concept of "Read for Life". They include a photo exhibition of HM the King and a display of the translated works of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and e-books by online printing houses.

Another highlight is the "Bangkok: World Book Capital 2013" exhibition in Hall A which explains the importance of the city being named World Book Capital for 2013 _ a prestigious title from Unesco.

Visitors can enjoy several recreational activities including a "Living Book", which encourages them to create something out of a book they have read, and "Scrapbook" which invites them to make an artwork to raise awareness about Bangkok as the World Book Capital.
