Pianist Cole Burger will give a piano recital at Goethe Institute tomorrow at 8pm.
He will perform many contemporary works including Prelude And Fugue In A-Minor by Henry Martin, China Gates by John Adams, Three Visions by William Grant Still and Sonata by Charles Tomlinson Griffes.
The second half of the programme will focus on classic pieces from Bach, Beethoven and Chopin.
Passionately devoted to contemporary music, the award-winning Burger has performed numerous world and regional premieres of solo and chamber works throughout the US, Europe and China.
He has also organised and performed in various benefit recitals for non-profit organisations.
Burger holds degrees in piano performance and economics from Northwestern University and
the University of Texas at Austin.
He currently teaches and coordinates class piano and piano pedagogy at the College of Musical Arts at Bowling Green State University
in Ohio.
