Man's or rather woman's best friend has become a beauty inspiration for MAC Cosmetics, whose Haute Dogs collection is accompanied by canine-inspired autumn looks.

Taking place last Monday, the launch continued an appreciation for pooches after National Dog Day (August 26), was celebrated in countries such as the US and the UK.
Various pedigrees made a special appearance with their celebrity owners on stage at the MAC event held at Siam Paragon's Hall of Fame, where a pack of male waiters wearing dog masks roamed around the venue to offer guests finger food and drinks.

However, models in MAC's advertising campaign as well as those at the Bangkok event wore their hair in French poodle and Afghan hound style to honour canine beauty.
From Affenpinscher and Basenji to Yorkshire Terrier and Zwergschnauzer, there are more than 300 breeds that gave plenty of inspiration for a make-up palette.
"This autumn, we have updated MAC Mineralize products in luscious fur tones, gold-spun powder, and berries for lips. The palette typically combines brown and golden shades to create a warmer make-up look,'' said MAC Thailand's national make-up artist Sanid Intaasa.
Claimed to be more natural and comfortably skin-friendly, Mineralize products contain a 77 Mineral Complex that also lends a smooth application.
A single sweep of moisturising Mineralize Rich Lipstick imparts long-lasting colour with a medium-shine finish to pout autumn lips in intense reds, with the deep wine whimsically called Labradorable. Other shades include the pinky nude Rare Breed and peachy Barking Gorgeous for those shying away from pouting red lips.
"You can tone down the Laboradorable lip colour with a dab of Mineralize Glass in Lap Dog, a pale pink-nude or amplify the red with Dressed to the K9s, a deep burgundy-plum, with the finishes giving a modern shine,'' said Sanid. "Those wanting more definition can use a lip pencil in Currant, a reddish purple prior to the layering of lip colour and gloss.''
The collection also includes limited edition eyeshadow palettes in three variations, as well as eye and brow liners to create eye make-up.
Eyes and lips stand out against a polished complexion, with the collection's sculpting/shaping powder applied to emphasise the high plains and natural bone structure while Mineralize Skinfinish powder does the highlighting job.
To complete the look, nail lacquer also pays tribute to doggies with a mid-tone nude named Very Important Poodle and a mid-tone grey, Snazzy Hound.
