Mr Apinan said Saeng Isan Agriculture Ltd and Chalobon Enterprise were suspected to have stolen 30,000 tonnes of cassava, worth 212 million baht from the pledging scheme.
He believed that state officials were also involved.
The governor said he has put himself in charge of this year's cassava pledging scheme and instructed the committee to closely monitor the program.
Companies and cassava plantations that violate the conditions set by the government will be blacklisted, unable to participate in any of the government’s pledging schemes in the future, he added.
