No bail for penny fraud suspects

The Criminal Court on Wednesday approved the detainment of the second Canadian suspect wanted by US authorities in connection with penny stock fraud, pending his extradition to the United States.

Yaowalak Thonglor, the prosecutor of the Office of the Attorney-General’s foreign affairs department, also asked the court not to grant bail to Gregory Curry, 63, if he applies again in the future on the grounds that the suspect may flee and the authorities would be unable to extradite him to the US.
