Koh Chang Disaster

Mud slides and heavy flooding on the tourist resort island of Koh Chang leave one person dead. Meanwhile the Navy is brought in to help with the evacuation process. Photos by Jakkrit Waewkraihong.

Koh Chang Disaster — Mud slides and flooding cause chaos following heavy rain on the resort island of Koh Chang.

Koh Chang Disaster — The Navy responded immediately by sending personnel to help evacuate those affected.

Koh Chang Disaster — The local town was left covered in mud and debris.

Koh Chang Disaster — Buildings and vehicles were also damaged during the mud slide.
