Residents of Khieo Kai Ka community in Dusit district work around the clock to save their belongings.
Years of experience have taught people living by the Chao Phraya River to deal with floods. The authorities predict a serious inundation in Bangkok on Saturday when a king tide is expected to hit and force the river level to rise.
It's just the latest episode in Bangkok's flood series for this rather nonchalant resident.

Though the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has built an embankment almost a hundred kilometres long on the Chao Phraya River, the concrete structure still cannot cope with the rising water level. The embankment has also backfired on the residents by blocking inland water from flowing into the river.
