Floodwaters have reached Thai Airways International's Technical Department at Don Mueang Airport. About 90 per cent of the airport's runways have been inundated and all domestic flights have been halted.
The water level at The Connect Village in Don Muang district has reached over 50cm. Police have closed eight roads in Bangkok to traffic because of the floods, including Vibhavadi-Rangsit, Phahon Yothin, Khamphaeng Phet 6 and Charan Sanitwong.

The Corrections Department used 17 buses to relocate 621 prisoners from Bang Kwang maximum security prison in Nonthaburi, which is threatened by flooding. Prisoners with life sentences have been relocated to Klongpai Central Prison in Nakhon Ratchasima while death row inmates have moved to Khaobin Central Prison in Ratchaburi. Corrections Department director-general Suchart Wong-sanantchai said that if necessary about 20,000 inmates at Lat Yao and Khlong Prem prisons would also be relocated.
Local residents struggle through floodwater on Charan Sanitwong Road in order to move to safe areas. The neighbourhood is inundated partly due to overflowing floodwaters from Khlong Maha Sawat. Authorities have warned Thon Buri residents living near the canal to evacuate the area.
Tourists at the Arun Amarin intersection use a boat service to travel in the direction of Siriraj Hospital. Prof Teerawat Kulthanan, dean of the hospital's faculty of medicine, met Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to discuss flood prevention protocol to safeguard the complex.
A resident of Thon Buri's Bang Phlat district evacuates her pet dog to a safer place with assistance from rescue staff. Water levels have reached one metre in some areas of Charan Sanitwong Road between Soi 70 and Soi 89.
This shoe shop owner at Wat Mahathatuhas, Tha Phra Chan has moved all her products to higher ground to avoid floodwater. Bangkok governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra has ordered all 50 districts of Bangkok to stay alert, prepare for a huge amount of water from the north and evacuate if necessary.
Flooding has hit Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road from in front of Don Mueang Airport down to the Lak Si intersection. Rising floodwater has brought traffic and businesses to a complete halt including the CentralPlaza Pin Klao mall on Boromratchonnanee Road.
