Up to 30 wild pigs have been captured by livestock officials at a deserted land plot in Phra Samut Chedi district of Samut Prakan. A businessman reportedly rented the land early this year and released the pigs he raised for good luck. The pigs have multiplied to more than 100, often running amok and creating a nuisance for residents in the area. The animals were yesterday vaccinated against foot and mouth disease and moved to a monastery in Phetchabun. Photos by Somchai Poomlard.
