New Purple Line cars

The northern section of the Purple Line will begin a trial run late next year before a full commercial service starts in mid-2016.The Bang Yai-Tao Pun section has been ahead of schedule, with construction 90% complete and train system 24% done.A free trial run is set for late 2015 and the commercial service will begin in the middle of 2016, 3-6 months ahead of the original schedule, said Yongsit Rojanasrikul, governor of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) on Monday.
