Last of the craftsmen
In the busy and bustling city of Bangkok, there lies a small community of craftsmen who are known and admired for making stone-polished bowls, a skill inherited from Ayutthaya about 200 years ago. The process of making the bowls is painstaking and requires great expertise, and young Thais appear unwilling to commit the time needed to master the art. Because of this, one of Thailand's most distinctive art forms could soon disappear. (Video by Jetjaras Na Ranong)
