Police are searching for a Caucasian foreigner who was seen travelling with a Thai woman before she was killed and stuffed in a suitcase.
Footage of the suspect, a bald man with large build, and a female bar worker, identified as Laksami Manochat, 31, was captured by a security camera about 11pm on Nov 1.
Police believe the pair travelled in a taxi to Kanchanaburi, where the body of the victim was later retrieved from the Mae Klong River in Tha Muang district on Nov 6.
Autopsy results found a wound on Laksami's forehead. It also concluded she suffocated.
Police are questioning the taxi driver and checking CCTV footage from intersections in Kanchanaburi.
