1 dead, 3 hurt in underage driver crash

Police said a fatal accident involving an unlicensed, underage driver occurred early Thursday morning in front of the Appeals Court on Ratchadapisk Road in Chatuchak district of Bangkok.

Investigators and emergency workers found a blue Toyota with both its front and rear ends completely smashed in. Nearby was the body of Palapol Wongsila, 20, lying dead on the road. He suffered a broken left arm and a skull injury.

About 100 metres away, a green Toyota which had been involved in an accident was parked on the road island. The driver was nowhere to be seen.

An absolute disgrace, its hard to understand the seat belt phobia in thailand... truly disgusting attitudes and yet another person thrown from the car when it inevitably crashes.
I can't comprehend why tackling road issues isn't a high priority here. its a shambles. And leaving the scene of an accident (and maybe someone to die in the process) should be a mandatory 10 years minimum in prison when caught. It is the lowest of the low.. truly shameful reading
