No excuses, they know the penalties and are prepared to risk it for some 'easy' money. Unless they can be proved to have been forced into this trafficing throw away the key!

agree with D4, they should get a slap on the wrist. a harsh slap on the wrist.

but same old story. 2 more lives effectively down the toilet now. so sad. Thailand needs to ditch the harsh sentences for mules and start disrupting things higher up the chain. Law enforcement is very smart these days and i would bet my bottom dollar that they know where these people live.

How about go knocking on some doors

    "...hidden in the women’s vaginas."

??? I'm fairly certain meaning to say: womans'

Either that, or there is a hole new drug game in town.

Number 2 is right on target. The real bad guys
give up a few drugs and the women and slip thru the other
areas with tons of the stuff ! The women should get a
"slap on the wrist " and sent home.

These women should also be considered as victims of the drugs mafia rather than criminals.

Well, the obvious question is "how do you ID smugglers with pills in their vaginae?" I'm sorry, I'm sure the coppers are not good enough to ID them from the way they walk or pose themselves. So they are tipped off. OK, fine.

But if so, it seems that the real smugglers are using these girls as patsies, then calling police to dob them in, misdirecting the anti-drug efforts to focus on these poor girls while the real mule, with 10x plus the pills on his person, walks out unobserved because the police are busy with the "sacrifices."

A strategy as old as time...

Why do they risk a death sentence for such little money?
