
The Football Association of Thailand has been fined US$30,000 after fans lit flares at Bangkok's Rajamangala National Stadium during an Asean championship match.
The FAT said on Thursday it had been informed by the Asian Football Confederation of the $30,000 (approximately 1 million baht) penalty.
Fans fired flares to celebrate Thailand's 2-0 win over Indonesia in the second leg of the Suzuki Cup final on Dec 17 which resulted in a 3-2 aggregate victory.
Police have issued arrest warrants for more than 10 suspects believed to be members of the Ultras Thailand group.
