A man set himself on fire in front of the Iranian Embassy in Bangkok on Friday.
The man, who was apparently not of Thai ethnicity, reportedly poured fuel on himself and ignited it outside the embassy on Sukhumvit Soi 49.
The man, whose nationality was yet to be determined, suffered burns all over his body. He was sent to nearby Camillian hospital and was said to be in critical condition.
Iranians voted on Friday in the country's first presidential election since its nuclear deal with world powers.
Thong Lor police are investigating.
