Flooding is still ravaging Nakhon Phanom, while areas in seven other provinces have been submerged since last month, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department said on Monday.
Eleven out of 12 districts in Nakhon Phanom are suffering from the overflow of water from Nong Han, the country's second largest freshwater lake in Sakon Nakhon, it said.
Bang Paeng is the only district to escape the floods, which damaged some 186,000 rai of farmland in the northeastern province.
Flooding in the province also damaged more than 60 roads, according to the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Provincial Office.
The office is concerned about high water levels along the Songkram River in Sri Songkram district.
Kampong Porammart, the Pak Bang village chief in Na Kae district, expects that almost 5,000 rai in the village will have been ravaged by the flooding, leaving rice rotting in the fields.
"We expect all farmers here will be in debt after spending about 2,000 baht per rai growing rice," he said. "We are banking only on aid from the government to help us."
Other provinces which remain flooded are Sakon Nakhon, Kalasin, Roi Et, Yasothon, Ubon Ratchathani, Nong Khai and Ayutthaya, according to the department.
Flooding has claimed 32 lives and affected more than 580,000 people across the country since last month. Sakon Nakhon's Muang district was the hardest hit area, where rainfall caused the worst flooding in decades in early July.
