Police seize Sek Loso's pistol for evidence

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: Police have confiscated the pistol allegedly fired by Sek Loso to be used as evidence to against the rocker.

Nakhon Si Thammarat police chief Pol Maj Gen Wanchai Ekpornpitch said the firearm had been seized from a friend of Sek's, and forensic officials are collecting fingerprints and running a background check on the pistol.

The name of the firearm owner has not been revealed.

Sek, whose real name is Seksan Sookpimay, fired several gunshots into the air and the ground in front of the statue of King Taksin the Great to honour the king at Wat Khao Khun Phanom in Phrommakhiri district on Friday.

Metropolitan police arrested him at his house in Bangkok on Sunday over the firing, one day after the Nakhon Si Thammarat court approved an arrest warrant.

The case of the rocker will be transferred to police in Nakhon Si Thammarat as the incident took place in the southern province.

Pol Maj Gen Wanchai said he is waiting for the transfer of the rocker from Bangkok.

The arrest on Sunday forced organisers of the Pattaya Countdown 2018 party to cancel his concert on New Year's Eve.
