A Kuwaiti army officer was seriously injured when assaulted by bouncers outside a go-go bar in Pattaya beach early Wednesday after venting his frustration that there were no sexy shows as he had been promised by a tout.
Maj Badan Nazan Alsubai-i, 30, of Kuwaiti army, was attacked in front of Spice Girls go-go bar on Walking Street in South Pattayai in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district about 3am by a group of guards, according to Khao Sod Online.
He suffered an injury to his right eyebrow and bruising to his head, and a knife wound on his right arm. He was sent to Pattaya Hospital for treatment.
Police later arrested one of the guards, identified as Daenthai Paksachart, 29, who is employed by the Spice Girls bar.
the victim told police that he and two companions were on Walking Street when they were approached by Thai men who convinced them they could see sexy dance shows at Spice Girls bar for 500 baht each.
After entering the bar, they found there were no naked girls on the stage as they had been promised. They complained that they had been deceived .
As they left the bar, Mr Alsubai-i said he had left his sunglasses inside and asked one of his friends to get them. While he was waiting out front for him to return, a guard identified later as Mr Daenthai came up to him and punched him in the face, he said. Then another 3-4 guards joined in assaulting him.
Pol Col Suchart Yaemsak, an investigation officer at Pattaya police station, said police would interrogate Mr Daenthai and arrest the other guards involved in the assault.
