AYUTTHAYA - A man with a history of mental illness has been found dead in a derelict house where he was living with his girlfriend, who also has a history of mental illness and whom police believe was the murderer.
The body, found late on Sunday night, was later identified as Arwuth Sukbunluea, 35. He was apparently stabbed to death and his penis then cut off, police said.
Bang-on Somjai, 42, the girlfriend, was rushed to a nearby hospital after she was found to have swallowed a bottle of pesticide.
A preliminary police investigation showed Arwuth and Ms Bang-on were in a relationship and decided to live together despite objections from their relatives.
