Five unregistered fishing boats were seized and six Cambodian crewmembers arrested for working illegally in Chon Buri on Wednesday.

Bang Lamung district chief Sakhon Kanchanwatta on Wednesday and a team of officials from various agencies inspected the fishing boats at Ao Ban Bang Lamung following complaints that illegal migrant fishermen had allegedly caught fish in a conservation zone.
Officials found 11 small fishing boats moored in the area. Five of them had no fishing licences and were seized. Six Cambodian crewmen were caught and charged with illegally entering the country.
Mr Sakhon said authorities would expand an investigation to find out who operated the five fishing boats and drastic action would be taken against them.
