Undersea weddings in Trang

Seven couples had their marriage registered undersea in the southern province of Trang on Friday, the eve of Valentine's day.

They were among 25 couples who celebrated their wedding at marine attractions in Trang.

Trang governor Somsak Hemthanont and representatives of the government and the private sector of Trang led the couples from the Pak Meng port in Mai Fad sub-district of Sikao district to the venue of the ceremony on Koh Kradan in Hat Chao Mai National Park. They included three foreign couples -  from France, China and India.

The seven diving couples registered their weddings 10 metres under water.

The other 18 couples toured marine destinations in Trang including the Morakot (Emerald) Cave.

All 25 couples were to have a giant wedding party on the beautiful beach at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya Trang Campus on Friday night.
