A storm Wednesday night carrying high winds grounded, diverted or delayed 108 flights at Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports, officials said.
Photos on social media showed flooding at Don Mueang, which was hit heavily during the 2011 floods.
Aeronautical Radio of Thailand said the worst period of the storm was between 6.30 and 8.30pm Wednesday, and affected both incoming and departing flights.
At Suvarnabhumi, 59 flights were delayed as they had to circle for an average time of 25 minutes while waiting for the storm to move on. Four flights had to be diverted to other airports. Around 20 flights waiting for takeoff were late by an average of 10 minutes.
Six flights declared emergencies because of low fuel, but all landed without incident when the winds eased.
At Don Mueang, meanwhile, five flights had to circle, for average delays of six minutes, Aeronautical Radio said. Five flights sought permission to land at other airports.
The Facebook account of Ar-pae.com, which provides information about travelling, a photo showed minor flooding around an aircraft's wheels at Don Mueang. No damage was reported.
