One passenger and five crew members were slightly injured when a Thai Airways International flight from Jakarta hit turbulence on Monday, said THAI president Charamporn Jotikasthira.
Mr Charamporn said yesterday that Flight TG434 from the Indonesian capital hit turbulence while the aircraft was flying over Singapore, injuring six people.
The Boeing 777-200 aircraft landed safely at Suvarnabhumi airport and the injured were sent to a hospital, he said. All were allowed to go home the same day.
The plane, with 72 passengers and 12 crew members, left Jakarta at 12.35pm and arrived in Bangkok at 3.40pm. A photo of the incident was posted on the Facebook page of Kru P'Birth, but was later removed.
