'Fit and firm' for traffic police

Traffic police with big bellies will be asked to join a diet programme, with the target group being officers with waistlines larger than 36 inches, about 92 centimetres, and a body mass index over 30.
It is hoped it will not only improve their health, but also their personalities.
Pol Maj Gen Uthaiwan Kaeosaat, deputy chief of Metropolitan Police Bureau, said 50 officers from Division 5 will take part in the first diet programme, which will be supervised by Kluaynamthai hospital.
