Roads around Royal Plaza closed

Traffic police on Friday morning closed off roads around the parliament, Royal Plaza and Government House in preparation for the anti-government rally at the Royal Plaza by the Pitak Siam group tomorrow, reports said.

Phichai road is closed to traffic from Kattiyanee intersection to Uthong Nai intersection, and Ratchavithee roa from Karnruan intersection to Ratchavithee intersection, according to the reports.

Uthong Nai road was closed from Uthong Nai intersection to the Royal Plaza, Ratchadamnoen road from Makkawan intersection to the Royal Plaza, and Phitsanulok road from Panich intersection to Wang Daeng intersection, the reports said.

    In blocking the demonstrators the goverment is going to increase the heat and the anger.
    The Court said "Pitak Siam" rally can proceed, so the Police cannot prevent it... The PTP/UDD government go against the rule of the law...

    How can they if they are blocked off. I Suppose this is one way of stopping Thai people from going is the roads are blocked how can they get in.

    Closing roads already!!! Another move to make the rally look bad by inconveniencing the people. They could do it overnight. They have plenty of police now to do it.
