Boy dies in fireworks accident

ANG THONG: A bag of small firecrackers exploded in a boy's lap as he was riding on a motorbike with his stepfather on Wednesday night. The boy later died and his stepfather was badly injured.

Police said the two were on the ground screaming in agony when they arrived. Parts of the motorbike and bits from the firecrackers were scattered along the road.

The boy’s body had a deep laceration near the genital area stretching all the way down to his thighs. His stepfather received lacerations to the middle of his back down to his waist, said the police.

I know what you are talking about. Three years ago, one bullet on it's way back to earth, came trough my bedroom window.

I thought fireworks were still illegal in Bangkok, not that you would know it. And it wasn't only fireworks last night. An idiot not far from my house was firing a pistol into the air repeatedly. Didn't he think those bullets are going to come back down again somewhere nearby? I could see the muzzle flashes from my upstairs window. What do you bet it was an illegal pistol too?
