Thaksin's appearance 'just a coincidence'

BANGKOK - Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's appearance at a muay Thai event in Macau on Sunday night that was broadcast live on state-run Channel 11 was just a coincidence, Pheu Thai Party spokesman Prompong Nopparit said on Monday.

"The people who are criticising Thaksin's appearance are those who have a hidden political agenda," Mr Prompong said.

Thaksins is desperate. Ring announcer.. Assassination attempt rumors. he can buy anything because of his wealth but he can not buy our constitutional courts.
    he needs a psychiatrist.

I would say these people (Aung San Suu Kyi, Cory Aquino, Mandela...) are more model of a true democracy.

“However, it was not unusual for the former premier to show up at events, because he had not caused trouble for anyone.” If so why he doesn’t show up in Thailand and in court?

Gandhi, Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi...these are but a few of the great people who loved their country and served years in prisons in selfless dedication to their causes. All of them endured unimaginable hardships and none of them ran away from their country and then engaged in self-aggrandising publicity stunts while living a life of luxury in exile.

I think this speaks volumes about character and ego.

Getting closer everyday to complete totalitarian dictatorship; his men in black will parade soon in the streets and those not waving or smiling at him will be jailed.

I have have watched and read with great interest the circumstances involving Thaksin and the politics surrounding him. I have never seen Thaksin behave in any way that would be best for Thailand. If the TV station may not have known Thaksin would be there but I am certain his supporters strongly encouraged them to broadcast the event.

Lets get to the bottom of this Taksmania, shall we.
    question nr 1.
Why does the political scene in thailand jumps up and down when mr thaksin is in the picture?
    Question nr 2
Why does mr thaksin is so eager to be in Thai spotlight when ever he gets the change?
    Question nr 3
Why is everybody in this sage keeps on mentioning the loyalty to the momarchy?
    Question nr 4
What on earth has mr thaksin, beside "giving an ox' to do with the poor and the farmers?
Did he himself or any of his family ever planted rice, did the Thaksin family has tp pay tax in Thailand or did it register in the cayman islands for reasons of improving personal wealt

In the country seldom is something not manipulated which goes into the public. Reminds my fatally to the protests in Phuket during the shooting of "The Beach" because the crew planted 3 palm trees at Maya Beach. There were hundreds of school children protesting in front of Robinson at Phuket Town because they got a day off and the teachers manipulated them via loudspeaker telling what they should shout. Asking the kids what they are protesting for? Answer, teachers say what they should do, its sanook although they have no idea what it is all about.

Can I coincidentally get myself on live Thai TV? Or course not. This is no coincidence at all. Prompong needs to understand there are many more educated Thai's than him and his fabricated stories are not fooling anyone; well maybe the buffaloes? Any politician that would tell a lie to the people for the good of one man, is disrespecting the entire institution and the nation.
