Veera, Ratree nearer to freedom

The Ministry of Justice of Cambodia is considering Prime Minister Hun Sen's instruction to reduce the prison term for Veera Somkwamkid and to pardon Ratree Pipattanapaiboon, according to a press statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of Cambodia on Thursday.

Yingluck: Consider pardoning Veera and Ratree

According to the statement, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra asked the Cambodian prime minister during the Asean Summit in Phnom Penh in November last year to consider pardoning the two imprisoned Thais. She made the same request on Thursday.

Yeah this is a politics game or politics gambling, I should say. What the good guy Hun Sen wouldn't do for his good friends of Shinawatra clan. I hope this small present will help sooth (a little bit} the ire of the angry group named PAD who are on the brink of turning everything upside down in Bangkok if the government doesn't get to its knees, no matter what the ICJ ruling is. One question I have to ask, what does that squabble over 4.6 skm mean if you put the ASEAN scheme in perspective ?

disc 4 'Thaksin could have his good buddy Hun Sen free them at any time. But they are yellow shirts, so he wants them to stay in prison.'

Yep. Wether you like it or not, Thaksin gets enough respect and cooperation from Hun Sen and many Cambodians (it's nice to have a cooperating politican instead of ultra nationalists as a neighbour now and then). However, getting them out like that would not be a democratic thing to do. How can you not throw them in jail? The picture alone is priceless. But yeah, they are yellow shirts..untouchable national hero's who occupy thailand's international aiport for months for their goal(s). How dare you Hun Se

These two Khoun Thai were arrested and sentenced to 6 yrs in prison for illegal entry to Cambodia by Hun Sen's government but there are millions of illegal Vietnamese immigrants who enter and stay in Cambodia and none ever been arrested let alone jailed.

These two yellow PADs hate thaksin and PT. Sarcastically these two yellow shirts require thaksin and PTs' help to save them.

Seems the PT care more about the freedom of Veera and Ratree than the PAD. If they cause problems it could affect the relationship with Cambodia and maybe Cambodia will keep the two spies. This is the first time hearing about " Veera had previously been deported from Cambodia for illegal entry." Carry a spy camera does not make them look inocent either. Good relations with your neighbors at home and internationally should be taught in school. It seems selfeshness is encouraged.

Both should probably thank Thai majority voter to pick PT over Demo during the last election otherwise could expect to serve the entire jail term.

If stupidity were illegal, these two would deserve a life sentence.
