Army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha has ordered his troops to call off their protest against the ASTV Manager newspaper after more than 30 soldiers gathered outside the ASTV headquarters Saturday.

UNIFORM APPROACH: About 30 soldiers gather in front of the ASTV office yesterday for a second day of protest against the paper’s criticisms of army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha.

The soldiers arrived outside the ASTV head office on Phra Athit Road at 10.30am Saturday for a second day of protests.

Words can never hurt any 'upstanding' man or office in the long run. Words of derision are expected-Goes with the job. Attempting to degrade a man by public wordage is more wrong than what these soldiers are doing. Still, one wrong doesn't create more right. A free press in essential toward Freedom of the people. A free press does not mean that irresponsibility of words/accusations should be tolerated and that being rude shows any form of educational worthiness. If one fool is writing and another fool is reading-What is accomplished?

Haaa,,so we can see that, very suddenly, some people who have backed the previous administration are discovering the side affect of a society where military have huge power. This is just VERY VERY new and SO sarcastic !

In this semi-fascist regime,the military and the police is allowed to protest in full uniform and in the case of the police,fully armed as well,in front of any party or movement which is in opposition to the Shinawatra dynasty. If they protest against the regime,there will be dire consequences.
Just another wonderful aspect of the "red democracy" that is being forced upon us.

@ Discussion 6 - Now the soldiers are saying "do NOT provoke us to carry out anther coup". IMO they should be applauded. - Really? The implication is that they are still willing to do so.

Khun Abbub #6, while many people were rejoicing with the Military during the last coup, PADs were dismayed, knowing full well that military solution wouldn't work. They wanted the political crisis to play itself out without any military intervention. However, the senior members of the Military back then, thought otherwise, and decided to carry out the coup instead.
