Candidates woo flood expert Seree

The contenders for the Bangkok governor's job are all attempting to woo flood expert Seree Supratid to be one of their deputies but he's resisting all offers.

The director of the National Disaster Research Centre at Rangsit University admitted he'd been getting a lot of offers but said he wanted to remain neutral for now.

He said he had been approached by independent candidates Pol Gen Sereepisuth Temeeyaves and Kosit Suwinitjit, as well as by the Pheu Thai and Democrat parties.

Pongsapat Pongcharoen has to remember that house of Doctor Seree was flooded during three months in Rangsit district Muang Ek. He and his neighbours has complained often PTP government about the very slow action of FROC and the many mistakes of FROC...

If the PTP denies there is a rift between Pol Gen Pongsapat and party figure Sudarat, the you know it is true.

Funny Thailand... one flood make you a expert...
    I ask myself then;

    1. Could the flood been avoided if all would work better together and the data given
was based on facts and not on political wish thinking ?
    2. Was the flood so good controlled ?
    3. Was the interpretation if the information correct ?
    4. Was the public honest informed ?
    5. What was the influence from the invisible hands who open or closed gates and make
dams or giant sandbags to protect their piece of area and let others longer and
    more suffer ?

If you were in the flood truegrit you would know that his impartial opinion was invaluable .I dont see any power play here by him but more of usual by the politicians named.

If Mr. Seree is indeed an expert this may mark a new era in Thailand. - For the first time ever, politicians are hiring an expert, not a son, cousin or police officer, to solve a problem!

Doctor Seree is seen on PBS channel not on NBT channel.... so I don't think so PTP could win a deal with him. If he is interested to be Deputy governor, the best is to wait the result of the election, then he will give his offer to the new governor... He will agree to help the country, but not to help a political party....

Sure, Doctor Seree doesn't want to be one the puppet collection from the master in Dubai...

  • Discussion 4 : 19 Jan 2013 at 13.124

During the 2011 flood, FROC/PTP never invite Doctor Seree for helping and adviceing... So Why PTP candidate need to contact him now ? "Vested interests" is the answer....

Dao are you so naive to believe that.he like most want to be in the limelight, have power and with this comes the cash. You wait and see. Bet the highest bidder is Pheu Thai they want and need control of Bangkok. Remember who set light to Bangkok remember who not to vote for.
