Pattaya police catch swingers

CHON BURI - More than 10 couples, mostly foreigners, tried to flee a swingers' party in Bang Lamung district after police raided a resort early Sunday morning.

A sting operation was launched after police were informed that a swingers' party was held every Saturday night at Rama Kien Resort in Bang Lamung district. Officers raided the resort and found more than 20 Thais and foreigners, male and female, almost naked. Some were wearing only a towel.

Police said they tried to escape during the raid, but all were detained and questioned before been released. Officers found 25 used condoms and sex toys as well as a copy of an invitation to the swingers' party.

It always will be to the discretion of the Police to either raid a party or receive some "compensation". The point is, that Thailand signed and ratified the UN-Charter against Corruption, but nothing happens at all. This country is corrupt from top to bottom.

(a follow up from #27) Corruption, like receiving bribe (tea & coffee money), is both unethical and illegal. So, if Thai Police is serious about unethicality, not to mention the outright illegality, they should begin to weed out those crooked policemen within their rank and file first, before imposing their morality on the rest of us.

I wonder how they calculated the price? Mmmm, ฿23,000. Let's see 20,000 for the privilege and I guess a ฿3,000 fee for the new and imported sex-toys. They have to be new toys every time. They can't use them twice.

They should have befriended and invited the local police lieutenant to the party. This certainly would have prevented the raid.

Are they 'hookers' caught in the act of solicitation in a public place ? If not, no offence being committed ! The law enforcers must have a better job to perform, right ?

If the police want another easy bust (pun intended) I can show them dozens of very obvious brothels operating in Rama IX, Petchburi and Ratchadapisek Roads, all catering largely to Thai men, including police officers (sometimes in uniform!)

Oh, wait on ... ... those are OK.

Just another silly PR blunder from the police who have nothing better to in a city noted for daily jet ski scams in which men in uniform are complicit.

For the Thai Governement, is PatPong (Bangkok), Sukhumvit (Bangkok), Nana Plaza (Bangkok), many areas in Pattaya, Bangla Road (Phuket) not showing and providing an indecent or immoral services most of the time done by girls/women who are not willing to do so but only don't have the choice ??? Moreover some idiot and stupid shows in PatPong and BanglaRoad are much more indecent, shoking, immoral, than a nude-party between adults people who all accepted it. The difference simply is that from PatPong, Bangla, and other areas above mentionned, the Governement is collecting taxes from the "hot indecent and immoral locations". All must be closed !

    Pics or it didn't happen...

So, obviously, in Thailand, prostitution (have sex for money) is perfectly legal, given you bribe the local police with appropriate tea or coffee money, however, swinging (sex between two consensual married adults with consent from their own husband and wife) is not. What's about a cheating husband or wife having consensual sex with unmarried man or women? I think the police is getting confused between unethicality and illegality. Something unethical is not necessarily illegal. A few monks were caught with having sex with women, but I don't recall any of them was prosecuted, but kicked out of monkshood.

When will it be illegal to be gay in Thailand. Isn't it immoral for two men or two ladies to have sex together? Next they will stop pedicures on the beaches because it is filthy to do that in public.
