13 CCTV cameras torched in Pattani

Arsonists set fire to 13 closed circuit television (CCTV) security cameras in the southern border province of Pattani early Monday morning, police said.

Pol Col Kowit Rattanachote, chief of Thung Yang Daeng police station in Pattani, said three cameras were destroyed in two locations of Panare district and 10 were destroyed in three locations of Mayor district.

Police blamed insurgents.

    All these CCTV cameras and nobody is watching them? Wone goes out in an area...nobody see this and if they do nobody sends a patrol out or put up a helicopter to survey the area????? 'AMAZING THAILAND'

    “Police blamed insurgents.” After all the other torchings one may have thought the police would be somewhat more observant at the remming camera sites. But I guess they were all in bed in the early morning.
