Quarries told to stop digging at night

SARABURI : The Pollution Control Department says rock quarry operators in Chalerm Prakiat district are polluting the air with dust by operating at night.

The department has told provincial authorities to order the operators to stop their work at night.

The department cited tests that showed the highest level of dust pollution at the quarries occurred between 4pm and 8am.
