Premier's licence plate a solid lotto bet | Bangkok Post: news

PM's number comes up lucky again

Anyone who keeps a close eye on the cars used by the prime minister would have been delighted with Friday's national lottery result.

It seems positively uncanny, but the winning numbers come up as part of the main lottery winner (above) and as the precious two-digit winning number (below)

But some punters and conspiracy theorists are crying foul, noting the suspicious frequency of winning lottery numbers matching the numbers on Yingluck Shinawatra's licence plate.

The real question is ... who started this story? Was it a press release or simply a reporter trying to find news? If the former, it is an extremely poor attempt at making YL look better. If the later, perhaps BP should find more things for their reporters to do, I am sure there are some closets that need cleaning.

    Eric,

Makes perfect sense to some people; they win and they believe it's due to the government bringing them luck. The more it repeats itself, the more it rings true to them.

If Thais would show interest and enthusiasm in investing as much into education, skills and hard work like the underground lottery business, the country would be ahead of all ASEAN Nations by now.
    Sadly not so.

How many vehicles in Thailand have the ending numbers 66. 7 times in 18 months is not that lucky if you figure how many vehicles she rides in everyday which only means there are alot more loosers than winners chasing the PM's car numbers.

Next number to work on - 5555. If you don't buy, that is your problem. Don't blame anyone.

Because with this PTP government the country is going to lose a lot from its culture and its spirit, I prefer to write YING-LACK instead YING-LUCK....

Someone smart and powerful enough to rig the Thai lottery would definitely be smart enough to use numbers not associated with them in any way especially cars they rode/ride in.

This is a BS story, as long as YL didn't have a ticket or a member of her family. I win the lotto every day by not playing it. congrates to the winners now don't buy more tickets and invest the money wisely

Question is, Did Mrs Ying Lucky have tickets on those days or not.

Luck and superstition are so old fashioned. Thailand should move forward.
