Yala TOA member shot, wounded

A local leader was shot and seriously wounded in a gun attack in Yala's Raman district on Sunday morning, police said.
Pol Lt Santichai Srimai, the duty officer at Thathong police station, said the incident occurred at about 9.30am at the house of Doroha Marurae, 55, a member of Wang Phaya tambon administration organisation (TAO).
While Mr Doroha was walking in front of his house, two men came past on a motorcycle and the pillion passenger fired three shots at him with a pistol.
