Nida Poll: It’s a neck-and-neck race

The March 3 Bangkok governor election is a neck-and-neck race between Pol Gen Pongsapat Pongcharoen and Sukhumbhand Paribatra, with very little separating the two leading candidates, Nida Poll said on Thursday.

The pollster at the National Institution of Development Administration (Nida) sought opinions from 1,500 eligible voters in Bangkok on the gubernatorial election between Feb 5 and Feb 6.

Asked that if the day of the survey was election day, which candidate they would vote for, 24.47% of the respondents chose Pol Gen Pongsapat of the Pheu Thai Party, while 22.87% of them backed MR Sukhumbhand of the Democrat Party.

D#1 Agree. They should also remember the Rice Plundering Scheme, the up coming Chinese Flood Control program and the fact that PT caused more flood damage in the greater Bangkok Area then any group of idiots in Thai history.

The dams were full when the PT took office. The Dems left them that way so you think like you think. If the Dems had brought the dam levels down there would not have been the destruction. If you understood what the BP wrote about you wouldn't sound so foolish.

Maybe the residents actually remember which party struck underhand deals in the back rooms of the barracks to undemocratically usurp power and selfishly throw the country into turmoil.

the undecided have to ask themselves did the policies of the last four years benefit either themselves ,their communities, or Bangkok as a whole? if they are happy with Sukhumbhand track record then vote for more of the same BUT if they have not seen any benefit VOTE FOR CHANGE

No wonder its close....the taxpayers / hard working people are working during the week and not waiting for handouts from PT/UDD...they will NEVER forget who burned their city, invaded their hospitals and blocked thousands of people from doing their job for the sake of a low fallen fugitive....
